With the advent of much better optical and laser technology found in mice these days, there practically isn't any need for a mousepad. Hence, the mousepad has been relegated to the realm of professional gaming (or semi-pro folks) as well as those who want to spruce up their desktop. The Cyber Bug Mouse Pad sets are extremely colorful and will definitely brighten up any dreary office environment with its nature-inspired artwork. They will retail for $35 a pop, and comes with a USB plug and PS2 adapter for those who are still using computers from the late 90s. I must say, the colors are pretty harsh on the eyes after a while.

More often than not, the remote control and lounging chair in the living room often belongs to dad as he claims to reign over the hundreds of TV channels with the almighty remote. One thing's for sure - the remote control isn't exactly easy to comprehend to the average person, which is why Chloe Fung has come up with a concept Orbit Remote which comes in the form of a bracelet that caters to women, carrying only the most basic of controls as the ladies catch up on their favorite soap operas in the afternoons. Hopefully more female-centric gadgets will be rolled out in order to bridge the digital divide between both genders. What are some of your favorite female-centric gadgets and gizmos?

While some of our readers do not live in earthquake prone areas like Japan, it is still better to be safe than sorry. Dogs are well known to be extremely loyal to their masters, and it is no surprise if your very own pooch tries to sniff you out in the aftermath. It is essential to be equipped with an emergency kit in the case of an earthquake, but what happens when you're trapped under some rubble with only a small space separating you from the outside world? Enter this emergency kit that is worn on your dog which retails for 50,000 yen (approximately $434). I'm not too sure whether you want Fido to wear this all the time since you can't tell when exactly will an earthquake strike.

This accessory pack is currently available for sale at Circuit City and consists of a carrying case, an in-car power adapter, a USB charger, a couple of stylus, and two game cases to get your game on. It will retail for $19.99, so if you want to gear up your girlfriend's DS Lite (or ever your own) now would be a good time to do it considering how you can kill two birds with one stone.

It is this piece of news that made me realize there aren't any circular LCDs available for consumer electronics yet - or am I wrong? This newly developed technology boasts an outer diameter of 75mm, including the driving circuit and works great for tightly confined space that is normally found in a motor vehicle instrument pane. Not only that, it does not break up the flow of the styling and design of the instrument panel itself. This is but a prototype at point of publishing, but it already can display a stunning 260,000 colors simultaneously. Can't wait for the final version to be released.

With the 360 Electrical Outlet, that conundrum is but a thing of the past since you will be able to access the second receptacle by simply turning the first one in a different direction. This unique home improvement idea fits standard single-gang boxes and is rated 15 amps, 125 volts. Choose from white or ivory colors. They retail for $14.99 a pop.

All watches are the same (barring a diamond or two here and there), or are they? Apparently not, as evident by the Hyundai W-100 watch phone. And you thought that Hyundai only makes cars...this timepiece not only keeps you up-to-date down to the latest minute, but it also offers the ability to keep in touch with friends and family as long as there is reception. This GSM phone comes with a 1.3 megapixel camera that captures video, support for audio and video playback, a touchscreen interface (good luck composing text messages on such a tiny display!), a microSD memory card slot for expansion options, and Bluetooth connectivity which doesn't make you look like a fool talking to a watch.

Don't expect over the top performance numbers with the Eee PC, as the best model packs in a mere 8GB SSD and 1GB RAM, while the entry level model ships with a mere 2GB SSD and 256MB RAM - numbers that definitely won't do in this day and age. Imagine running Windows on this configuration - you'd be practically crawling! The price range can't be beat though, hovering from $299 to $399. Each Asus Eee PC comes with a trio of USB ports, Open Office software suite to get you started in documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases, as well as audio and video playback options. You can expect the Eee PC to hit the US within a few weeks.
